Nordent has had a Professional Sharpening Service for more than 50 years. Our instrument craftsmen sharpen and repair any brand and any type of dental instrument from Diagnostic and Hygiene to Restorative and Surgical. You can rely on Nordent to bring your old instruments back to life and keep all of your instruments sharp.
It’s as easy as 1-2-3 to have your instruments sharpened:
- Complete the form below to request your complimentary Nordent Shipping Kit, which includes a sturdy reusable box, protective padding and an order sheet.
- If you already have a box or only need a prepaid UPS label, please proceed to the next step to launch our exclusive UPS portal page where you can print out a label
- NEW! Fill out our online form adding your instrument details and shipping information in one step. This information is saved to a unique sharpening ticket number, which you can now use for shipment tracking and sharpening history purposes.
Important: Shipping charges are $17 each way within the U.S. Inbound shipping charges only apply if using the Nordent-provided UPS shipping label.
Don’t Forget: instruments must be sterilized, and sent in sterilization bags for sharpening.
- Take the box to a UPS store or give it to your UPS driver and we’ll take it from there.

*Any instruments that have been re-tipped are not eligible for free sharpening services.
**All instrument trades must be within the same scaler family XDURA or Relyant.
***Shipping charges are $17.00 each way within the contiguous U.S. Inbound shipping charges are only applied if using our UPS label. For customers not using our UPS label, we highly recommend sending via any service that provides tracking information.
If you are sending in ALL free sharpening (XDURA/Relyant), you are only responsible for the shipping charges. If you use our provided shipping label, list your credit card for $17 each way shipping. If you are sending in anything else that is chargeable sharpening (non XDURA/Relyant), write your dental dealer's company name and all charges (sharpening plus the shipping) will then be billed through them.
